textbook:

lizzy bennet is one of the most celebrated characters in literature. in pride and prejudice she was well liked, bright and grounded with charm. the whole book she sort of exudes this attraction, not just because she’s pretty but because she’s pretty cool too. so basically, she was that one popular girl in school who was actually nice too. if you’ve been to high school/college on the east coast you know that this girl usually dresses pretty freakin’ awesome. keeping this in mind and acknowledging her slight country bumpkin-ness, i give you elizabeth bennet from pride and prejudice. BOOM.

1: oh hey, i’m from meryton, it’s a happy place: shirt and clutch by rachel comey, pants and shoes by band of outsiders
2: let’s go to the barn dance, casual: shirt by band of outsiders, skirt and belt by marni, shoes by chloe, bag by dvf

this blog is so creative, coming up with modern-day looks for those of the past. plus, elizabeth bennet is my favorite ever so this blog totally wins. :)
